Golem is one of the earliest decentralized computing projects: providers share CPU and GPU capacity with requestors through an open-source peer-to-peer protocol and are paid in the GLM token (ERC-20 on Ethereum and Polygon). Its 2016 token sale funded development by Golem Factory.
